Celebrating a beautiful life…

It has been three and a half years since we received Chloe, September 23rd, 2008 which happened to be my 40th birthday.  This was her official adoption day.  I can remember the first time we saw her.  She was a very shy, timid little girl, much different than the bubbly, overflowing personality of Caleigh Grace who we adopted some two years earlier.

In such a short amount of time, Chloe has established her own identity and her personality shines through her precious life.  She is an amazing girl whose priviledge is ours to celebrate her 8th birthday today.

If you know Chloe well enough, you know she is the kind of girl who will be sitting at the table and all of a sudden she will fall out of her chair or she will be carrying the milk back to the refridgerator and drop it on the floor, popping the lid and gushing milk all over.  But, that is our Chloe who we love so much and who brings a lot of laughter to our family.

Chloe is a very helpful, responsible young lady.  At school, the teachers give out stickers which say, “I was seen doing my personal best.”  On most days, Chloe will come home with two or three of these stickers stuck to her shirt.  This tells you something about the heart of this little girl – whether she is working diligently on her classwork all by herself or helping another classmate all on her own without being asked – she is ready and willing to help others.

Chloe is such a beautiful young lady who has such a big heart.  What a privilege is it to raise her and to see how she has grown so much in the last three and a half years.  We continue to be blessed by Chloe being a part of our family and today is the day we celebrate the wonderful life God has given to her.  Happy Birthday Chloe!
